Janeta Zurakowski provides advice and representation to employers in all areas of labour and employment law across a full spectrum of industries, including retail, education, government services, manufacturing, construction, and professional services.
Janeta’s practice focuses on human rights proceedings, grievance arbitration, and wrongful dismissal litigation. She has appeared before various levels of court, as well as administrative boards and tribunals.
Janeta also works closely with clients drafting employment contracts, managing accommodation requests, developing strategic workplace policies, and managing terminations. She is also an experienced workplace investigator specializing in workplace harassment and employee misconduct investigations.
Janeta has published extensively, contributing to the Employment Litigation Manual, Employment and Labour Law Reporter and Lexis Practice Advisor. She is an engaging speaker, and frequently presents on labour, employment, and human rights issues affecting the modern workplace.
Prior to joining the firm, Janeta practiced with a prominent labour and employment boutique firm in Toronto.
