Executive Summary
Alyssa is an associate in the firm's Hamilton office, where she also completed her summer and articling terms.
Alyssa maintains a broad practice and has a strong passion for advocacy and workplace law. She provides strategic, solutions-oriented advice and representation to employers of all sizes and industries in respect of their workplace matters, with experience in labour disputes, human rights, employment standards, wrongful dismissal litigation, and workplace investigations. In addition, Alyssa also has an interest in education law, pay equity compliance, and immigration law.
Alyssa received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria in 2018, and thereafter earned her Juris Doctor from Queen's University in 2022. During her time at Queen's Faculty of Law, Alyssa was an editor for the Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal, a teaching assistant for courses in workplace law and public international law, Co-President of the Queen’s Law Cancer Society, and completed an internship with the United Nations.
Outside of the law, Alyssa is an avid reader, and also enjoys skiing, traveling, and hiking.
