Jane Gooding has been a partner in Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP’s Hamilton office since 2013. Before joining FWTA, Jane was a partner at Evans, Philp LLP in Hamilton.
Jane’s practice focuses exclusively on advice and advocacy to a wide variety of public and private sector employers in all areas of workplace law. Jane represents both provincially and federally regulated clients whether or not unionized.
Jane’s practice in the public sector comprises of municipalities, school boards, police services, long-term care homes and other broader public sector clients. Jane’s private sector clients range from manufacturers to broadcasters.
Jane’s experience assisting clients in labour law, employment law, human rights and disability management matters is extensive. She provides day-to-day practical and strategic advice to employers on all aspects of labour and employment and regularly advocates for clients during labour relations disputes, collective bargaining, interest arbitration and grievance arbitrations. She also regularly represents clients in judicial and administrative proceedings, including unfair labour applications, human rights applications and charges under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Jane is a sought after speaker, participating in conferences, meetings and seminars held by various human resources groups and organizations in Hamilton and throughout Ontario.
