Nikki Banwait

Executive Summary

Nikki is an associate lawyer based in the Toronto office. Nikki previously completed a summer term and her articles with the Firm.

Nikki practices in all areas of management-side labour and employment law, including human rights, labour disputes, occupational health and safety, employment litigation, and workplace investigations. Nikki has represented and advised employers across a wide range of industries in both the private and public sectors.

Nikki maintains a particular interest in the area of workers’ compensation law and has experience assisting employers in claims management and appeals before the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. Nikki also serves as Secretary on the Ontario Bar Association’s Worker’s Compensation Section Executive.

Nikki graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa. Nikki has a keen interest in advocacy, and participated in moot court and negotiation competitions in law school. She was also a Teaching Assistant for the Alternative Dispute Resolution course. Concurrent with her studies, Nikki worked as a research student at a management-side labour and employment firm in Ottawa.
