Executive Summary
Rob has been a partner of Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP since 1996. He advises employers on all aspects of labour and employment law. Rob provides services to a broad range of private sector companies including those in retail, hospitality, manufacturing, logistics and sports and entertainment. He has for many years managed class action litigation on behalf of clients. Rob also is frequently retained to provide training to executive groups.
Rob received his Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University. He then worked in human resources and production management with an Ontario manufacturing company prior to attending law school. He graduated from Dalhousie Law School. Rob frequently speaks on labour and employment law issues to employers, human resource professionals and student groups, and has lectured on labour and employment law at the University of Toronto and at Ontario colleges.
Rob has presented papers on Ontario labour law reform at Ontario Bar Association conferences and other continuing legal education events. He is a member of the IBA and the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers. Rob leads the firm’s relationship with Advocates for Employers of Canada, an association of labour and employment law specialists from firms across Canada.
Rob is one of seven directors on the Board of L&E Global. L&E Global is a consortium of labour and employment law counsel with over 1750 lawyers in over 170 offices around the globe.
