Executive Summary
Roy is one of the Firm’s founders. During his distinguished career of over 50 years, he practiced primarily in the area of labour and employment law.
As one of the most highly-ranked management-side labour and employment lawyers in Canada, Roy has been the principal point of contact for major clients with major matters.
During his years in practice, Roy had extensive experience representing employers before the courts, federal and provincial labour boards, arbitration boards, and other administrative tribunals. He also has extensive experience in collective bargaining, mediation and all forms of dispute resolution.
As well, Roy was certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a Specialist in Civil Litigation. He is also one of a select group of Canadian lawyers to be inducted as a Fellow of The American College of Trial Lawyers and as a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers (USA).
Throughout his career, Roy has authored or co-authored many articles, papers and other publications, and he has made numerous presentations on labour and employment law topics.
