Working From Home: Hard at Work or Hardly Working?

Some employers embraced remote work arrangements long ago. Others had little choice but to do so in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the widespread business closures that followed. However, even as provincial governments ease emergency restrictions and allow for the gradual reopening of various workplaces, employers may want, be encouraged, or even be mandated, to maintain work from home arrangements with some or all workers. Whether employers are adopting remote work arrangements only in the short-term, or are implementing telework as a long-term business strategy, there are important legal considerations that should not be overlooked. We invite you to join us for a webinar designed to will help employers navigate the practical and legal issues associated with working from home, whether during or after the COVID-19 pandemic. This informative virtual session will review tips and best practices for

  • Maintaining confidentiality, privacy, and data security
  • Addressing health and safety requirements for the home office
  • Managing employee performance and productivity
  • Accommodating disabilities and family status issues
